SENTE GO — Terms & Privacy

This is a community Go server run for the enjoyment of the game. Registering an account means you agree to the following — it's short, please actually read it.

Play fair, be decent

Be respectful in chat. No harassment, hate speech, or spam. Don't cheat (using engines or another person's help in rated games), don't sandbag or inflate ratings with second accounts, and don't stall games you're losing — the server will score stalled games itself. Public chat passes through a profanity filter and this service is moderated.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to register. One person per account. There is no email recovery: when you register you receive a one-time recovery code, and that code is the only way to reset a lost password. If you lose both, the account cannot be recovered.

What we store

For registered accounts we store your chosen name, a salted hash of your password and recovery code (never the actual values), your rating, game history, and friends list. IP addresses appear temporarily in server logs and rate-limit counters, and persistently only if banned. Chat messages are relayed live but not stored. Finished games are archived publicly — anyone can view or download them (SGF) with your player name attached.

Your data rights

You can ask for your account data or have your account and its records deleted by contacting the server operator. We don't sell data, run ads, or share anything with third parties.

Moderation & liability

The operator may remove content, restrict features, or ban accounts and addresses that break these rules, at their discretion. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no guarantee of uptime or preservation of ratings, archives, or accounts. These terms may change; continued use after a change means you accept it.
